Citizenship assemblies for primary schools
Over the last 4 years ‘On The Edge In Schools’ (OTEIS) has been developing and delivering highly relevant, interactive and dynamic assembly presentations to 20 different schools in the Gravesham area. Each assembly is crafted to present a different aspect of the Citizenship agenda, following the National Curriculum guidelines.
Our aim for each assembly is to find fun and creative ways to engage children whilst showing them that they have a role as citizens in their family, school, community and world. So far we have had great success in achieving our aim and have received recommendations from each school we have visited: some of the comments received are listed below.
Any new school can request their first OTEIS assembly free of charge. After that the service is provided for a nominal cost of £25 per presentation, or £70 for 3 assemblies (Autumn, Spring, Summer). We are constantly working on new assemblies and updating our catalogue so you can find assemblies that will tie in with your school.

This ROC project has been kindly part funded both by CPC, City Kids and Maureen Newell KCC Councillor for Gravesend East, who have enabled us to purchase additional technical equipment, along with a suitable box trailer to transport it all in!
